When you are alert, oriented, and your bleeding is deemed satisfactory, the nurse will begin your discharge. At discharge your bleeding will be evaluated, post-operative pain medication will be administered and both verbal and written aftercare instructions will be given. Your escort must be present before you are discharged. At this time we will emphasize that should you have any questions or concerns, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 212-333-5000. After your discharge you may resume eating starting with something light.
